The PPF System gives you the ability to place all nutrient requirements of your crop at planting time. The opener point opens and loosens the soil underneath the seed sowing depth. This creates an essential aerobic seed environment. The fertilizer slot runs 2” below the seed plane, giving both excellent separation and optimum placement for nutrient uptake. Before seed is placed in twin rows, soil over the fertilizer layer is leveled and firmed. Seed is place on a firm seedbed at desired planting depth. With the 15” shank spacing, use twin row openers to achieve desired row spacing. For example, use model AE-15 to achieve 7.5” seed spacing. 1. Port for dry, liquid or NH3 fertilizer
2. Seed port for dry or liquid fertilizer
3. Mid row port for dry or liquid fertilizer
4. Plastic side shields reduce soil that sticks, even in wet conditions
5. Consolidation plate - levels and firms the soil at desired depth
6. Fertilizer is placed directly underneath the seed
7. Changeable coulter points - opens the soil and loosens the soil underneath the seed sowing depth for added root growth

SINGLE SHOOT openers

Single shoot openers feature exclusive “Reverse Drop” technology. The reverse drop action nullifies the forward speed of the seed for better placement. Seed enters the shoot and is gently rotated into the soil. A “dead drop” effect is created to eliminate seed bounce. The plastic covering wing trails behind for a light holding action. This ensures excellent seed to soil contact. Single shoot openers can be used for many planting operations as well as fertilizer applications.
