The Horsch Anderson Planting System is a proven yield champion in small grain and specialty crop operations. Use the system in no-till, min-till, and in conventional tillage situations.

The image to the right shows an example of the emergence of spring wheat along side of a single disc seeder. The single disc is on the left, the Horsch Anderson on the right. In small grains application the Horsch Anderson Planting System eliminates hairpinning, provides precision fertilizer placement, and creates the optimum environment to give your crop the best start possible.

Custom Fertilizer Application

Our planting systems can be used for more than just planting. Customers can use our systems for strip till and soil incorporated fertilizer applications. Little if any change is needed to convert from planting to these applications.

A significant advantage has been seen in using our system verses other fertilizer application systems. Other systems simply make a cut in the ground and apply product. Especially when using anhydrous there can be evaporation of product. With our twin row opener the fertilizer is packed, disc levelers close that furrow, and then the furrow is packed with our packer tires. Fertilizer has little if any chance to evaporate giving you more utilization of your product. Granular, liquid, or anhydrous fertilizer can be applied through our system.

Strip tillage applications can use our AE-15 opener to leave a nice blackened strip in the field for spring planting. While placing the fertilizer the consolidation wings on the opener create a firm seedbed for planting. Customers can use this system for the following scenario:

Row Crop Applications

Having 15" shank spacing gives our planting system a distinct advantage in row crop conditions. 30" applications are easily obtained with a simple insert into the secondary manifold head and removal of unneeded openers. Customers use this system for the following scenarios:

• 15" Twin row crop • 15" Single row crop • 30" Twin row crop
• 30" Single row crop • 30" Twin row crop with 15" mid row fertilizer application
